Cancellation and T&C's
1. Short-Term Stays (Under 28 Nights)For shorter stays, the strict policy is designed to protect the host’s revenue entirely since it is incredibly difficult to rebook a property at a moment's notice.
- The Nights Stayed: You are charged 100% for every night you spent in the property.
- The Remaining Nights: You are charged 100% for all remaining unspent nights. You receive no money back for leaving early.
- Cleaning Fee: If you cancel after you have checked in, the cleaning fee is not refunded because the host still has to clean the property after your departure.
2. Long-Term Stays (28 Nights or More)If you are staying for a month or longer, Hapus Hideaway automatically applies a specific Strict Long-Term Policy.
The 30-Day Rule: If you cancel mid-stay, you are required to pay for all nights stayed plus an additional 30 nights from the exact date you officially cancel.
The Cutoff: If there are fewer than 30 days left on your original booking when you cancel, you must pay for 100% of all the remaining nights.
Part 1: Public House RulesPlace these clearly on your main listing page so guests see them before booking.
- Check-In: From 3:00 PM onwards.
- Check-Out: By 11:00 AM sharp to allow time for cleaning teams.
- Quiet Hours: Strictly enforced between 01:00 AM and 8:00 AM.
- No Smoking: Absolutely no smoking, vaping, or e-cigarettes inside.
- No Parties: Gatherings, events, or commercial filming are strictly prohibited.
- Occupancy Limit: Only the registered number of guests are permitted on site.
- No Pets: Animals are not allowed anywhere on the property.
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of [25]% is required to secure the booking.
- Balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full [14] days prior to arrival.
- Failure to Pay: Late payments may result in automatic cancellation of the booking.
2. Strict Cancellation Policy
- Full Refund: Allowed only if cancelled within 48 hours of booking, provided the check-in date is at least 14 days away.
- 50% Refund: Allowed if cancelled at least 7 days before check-in.
- No Refund: Cancellations made less than 7 days before check-in, or mid-stay early departures, will receive a 0% refund.
3. Security Deposit & Damages
- Charges: Guests are financially responsible for any damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning required.
4. Guest Conduct & Eviction
- Eviction: Violation of quiet hours, occupancy limits, or the no-party policy will result in immediate eviction.
- No Refunds on Eviction: If evicted for breaking rules, no refunds will be issued for any remaining nights.
- Access: The host reserves the right to enter the property for emergency maintenance at any time.
5. Liability
Valuables: The host accepts no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of guest personal property.
Safety: Guests use the property, amenities, and any communal spaces entirely at their own risk.Clause: Early Departure & Mid-Stay Cancellations. General PolicyOnce check-in has occurred, the booking is considered fully active. If a guest chooses to shorten their stay, vacate the property early, or cancel the remainder of their reservation for any reason, no refunds will be issued for any unused nights, taxes, or fees. The cleaning fee remains non-refundable as a full turnover clean is required upon any departure.2. Permitted Reasonings (No Refund Applicable)The no-refund policy strictly applies to mid-stay departures caused by personal circumstances, including but not limited to:
- Travel Plan Changes: Alterations to flights, itineraries, work schedules, or personal commitments.
- Personal Emergencies: Family illnesses, medical emergencies, or unexpected events requiring a return home (guests are strongly advised to purchase independent travel insurance to cover these risks).
- Dislike of Property or Location: Dissatisfaction with the property’s aesthetic, layout, surrounding neighbourhood, local weather, or ambient noise levels that fall within normal regional standards.
- Eviction due to Rule Violations: Immediate departure ordered by management due to the guest breaking House Rules (e.g., exceeding occupancy, throwing parties, smoking indoors, or disturbing neighbours).
3. Exceptions (Conditional Refund or Rebooking)A partial or full refund for the remaining nights will only be considered under the following specific conditions:
- Host-Approved Rebooking: If the guest provides immediate written notice of their early departure, the host may attempt to re-list the vacant dates. If the dates are successfully booked by a new guest, a refund equal to the net revenue recovered (minus a [25]% administrative fee) may be issued to the original guest.
- Major Property Outages: If the property becomes legally uninhabitable due to a verifiable utility failure within the host's control (e.g., complete loss of running water or power lasting more than 24 consecutive hours), and the host cannot provide a comparable remedy or alternative accommodation.
- Force Majeure: Evacuation ordered by local government authorities due to a sudden, catastrophic natural event (e.g., wildfire, severe flooding) making access to the property impossible.
